Volunteers deliver quilts to Shands Medical Center.
Georgia Chapter of Quilts for Kids is a Chapter of the national, non-profit organization of Quilts for Kids, Inc. QFK, Inc was founded by Linda Arye in 2000 when she saw that large amounts of design fabric samples were being thrown into landfills. She felt sure they could be put to good use and made into patchwork quilts to comfort children in need. The Georgia Chapter began in June 2009 by Cheryl Sloan in Waycross, Georgia and has grown from 3 volunteers to over 100.
